The Sacramento Valley Detecting Buffs of Sacramento, (SVDB) is a metal detecting club home based in the central valley of California. The members come from the surrounding Sacramento area and cities. Our members represent a wide range of metal detecting interests from relic hunting, coin shooting, jewelry hunting to detecting / prospecting for gold.

SVDB membership meetings are currently held in the North County Corporate Yard (Formerly SMUD Building) 5026 Don Julio Blvd. North Highlands, CA at the corner of Elkhorn Blvd and Don Julio Blvd.

The SVDB membership meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 P.M. Meeting activities may include general business items, Membership Show and Tell, coin raffle, guest speaker and other exhibits.

Other SVDB club activities include two club sponsored Day-in-the-Park hunts each month, a Club Annual Hunt, occasional Metal Detecting Clinic for new members, and Beach or Prospecting trips.

SVDB specializes in helping our over 125 paid members to learn how to properly use a detector in coin shooting, nugget shooting and all phases of detector usage and treasure hunting.

SVDB Membership dues are $20.00 per year for a Single Membership or $35.00 per year for a Family Membership.

SVDB Club Newsletter is mailed monthly and is available on this web site.

SVDB schedules two Day-in-the-Park metal detecting hunts each month, one on the first Sunday and the other on the third Sunday of the month.

SVDB Club Library is full of research material, i.e. Videos, Maps, Books and Magazines.

SVDB Coin Raffle is held each club meeting with approximately 30 items valued $450.
